La PORTE, IN (Apr. 14, 2022) - The much-anticipated Spring Clean Up is slated for the end of this month, according to La Porte Mayor Tom Dermody.
Monday, April 25 through Friday, April 29, city residents will be able to discard of their large and heavy trash on their regular pick-up day. Dermody said this service plays a significant role in improving the community.
"This time of year, our offices receive countless calls from residents regarding the schedule for Spring Clean Up," Dermody said. "We are always happy to hear from residents who are eager to take advantage of this important service. The Clean Up plays a critical role in keeping our community clean, and we are proud to see such an incredible improvement throughout our city over the last several years."
The following guidelines apply:
• All trash must be securely tied in bags;
• All mattresses must be fully wrapped in plastic or otherwise sealed/covered; and
• Waste generated from construction, renovation, repair and/or demolition of residences will not be collected as part of Spring Clean Up.
