Nest La Porte
Joining forces with Center Township Trustee Lisa Pierzakowski, the City has partnered with Nest Community Shelter to bring a temporary emergency shelter – dubbed Nest La Porte – to the former train depot at 809 Washington Street. The shelter is open nightly from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. now through March 31.
In addition to providing a meal and a warm, safe place to sleep, Nest La Porte will also offer connections to resources that will help individuals get the support they need.
This project is driven by volunteers and donations. Click here to learn how you can help.
