Duties:

  • Operate trucks of various sizes and weights – including CDL Class B vehicles.
  • Ability to load, haul, and unload various materials and supplies.
  • Routine inspection and preventative maintenance on equipment; refers defects or needed repairs to supervisor.
  • Plow snow, apply sand and salt streets for ice.
  • Patch streets; grade and stone alleys.
  • Pick up brush/leaves.
  • Identify and report department and street safety hazards.
  • Operation of small equipment and tools.
  • Tree trimming and cutting.
  • Operation of all heavy equipment.
  • Load trucks with street repair materials.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or high school equivalency (HSE); one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Indiana Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B with Airbrakes

 

Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work outside, sometimes in extreme weather conditions
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
