Legal fireworks may be discharged on the user's property: *Between the hours of 5pm and 11pm, from June 28th through July 3rd and from July 5th through July 9th; Memorial Day and Veteran's Day. *Between the hours of 10am and Midnight on July 4th. *Between the hours of 10am on December 31st and 1am on January 1st.

Recycle Track Systems, RTS for short was awarded the 4 year contract for the City of La Porte by the Board of Public Works and Safety at the January 23rd meeting. Your day and time of service will remain the same, if you rented a container from WM, they have started picking them up. You can contact RTS to obtain one of theirs. Recycling in the city limits happens every 2 weeks. Generally, half the city recycles every other Monday, and the other half every other Tuesday. Bins need to be out before 6! The La Porte Solid Waste District handles curbside recycling for the entire county. They provide the large blue bin, and every 2 weeks pickup occurs. Click the link for more info, or drop in or call.
