The tennis complex was renovated in 2020 as part of the Tennis Renaissance initiative. The project repaired and resurfaced five tennis courts and created four dedicated pickleball courts. The complex is named after longtime Tennis Supervisor Bill Reed, who oversaw the program for 51 years. He first started the Park Department program in 1966 and later served as the head tennis coach for La Porte High School.
