Water / Sewer Rates

Water Rates for 2015: Water rates drop in increments as the consumer uses more water. This is known as a declining block rate structure. According to the Water Rate Ordinance the following charges are in effect for 2015. A 3% increase in the current water rates will go into effect in January 2016 and again in January of 2017.
  • First 5,000 gallons of water used costs $3.11 per thousand 
  • The next 10,000 gallons used cost $2.85 per thousand 
  • The next 35,000 gallons used cost $2.67 per thousand 
  • The next 50,000 gallons used cost $2.21 per thousand 
  • All usage over 100,000 gallons is billed at $1.71 per thousand

Sewer Rates for 2015:
The sewer rates are $4.74 per thousand, plus a base charge of $3.65. These are the fees for the smallest residential size meter. See Sewer Rate Ordinance.
