    The Sunflower Fair in beautiful, historic Downtown La Porte is one of the largest area festivals with over 100 craft and nonprofit vendors. Enjoy a day with family and friends for food, entertainment, rides, and much, much more. Enjoy the many activities of the day- a rib cook-off, a 5K run and fun walk, sunflower contest, an art walk, rides, food, and of course much, much more! Visitors may also see the many vendors- last year approximately 150 vendors participated!

  2. Kiwanis Club Sunflower Fair 5K Run and Fun Walk

    It is going to be a great day in downtown LaPorte, and what better way to start off the Sunflower Fair than to get a little exercise! But wait, there's more ... you can show off your new t-shirt to all your friends. They will wish they had one for sure. Proceeds to benefit Kiwanis programs for kids here in our community. Route starts at the YMCA and goes down Michigan Avenue to Beechwood Golf Course and back. The race begins at 8 a.m., with day of race registration and packet pick-up beginning at 7.     The Conquer Chiari Walk Across America is a series of local awareness and fundraising walks held on the 3rd and 4th Saturday of September, uniting patients and their families across the country. Join us on this special day to help support the thousands of people struggling with this life changing diagnosis. Proceeds will be used to fund Chiari research, education and awareness programs. Participation is free. T-shirts will be provided for pre-registered walkers with a minimum donation of $25 (deadline is August 16).
