When can I light off FIREWORKS IN La Porte?
LaPorte’s Municipal Code states that consumer fireworks may be discharged within the city limits on the following dates and times:
* From June 28th through July 3rd, and from July 5th through July 9th; Memorial Day and Veteran’s Day, between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.
* On July 4th between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 midnight.
* Between the hours of 10:00 a.m. on December 31st (New Year’s Eve) and 1:00 a.m. January 1st (New Year’s Day).
The penalty for violation of this ordinance is a fine of $300.00.
