Beechwood Golf Course is a beautiful 18-hole championship golf course, designed by renowned architect William Diddle. The course was built in the early 1930s as a gift from the Fox family.
The traditional layout and masterful design allows players to use every club in their bag. It is a must-play for golfers of any skill level, and the low prices make Beechwood one of the best deals in the state.
The course is enjoyed by golfers from throughout northern Indiana, southern Michigan and Chicagoland. The recently-constructed Chalik Family Pavilion, along with a long-standing reputation for quality service, has made Beechwood one of the premier courses for outings in the area.
For the past 80 years, LaPorte High School has hosted the Uebele Invitational for boys golf at Beechwood. The annual event, named for longtime LaPorte golf enthusiast Herman “Butch” Uebele, is the longest consecutively run high school golf invitational in the United States. On the girls side, the course annually hosts the Ford Invitational, named for outstanding local golfer and former high school assistant coach Pat Ford.
