Our Adult Softball program, affiliated with National Softball Association, provides men's, women's and coed leagues for all skill levels. Our program offers league play Sunday through Thursday, with games played primarily at Scharf and Lions fields. Teams play 14-game schedules plus division tournaments.
Team managers from the 2017 season will receive registration information mid-February 2018. Deadline for entry will be Friday, March 16. New teams may pick up the needed forms and information beginning Friday, Feb. 16. All team managers are required to attend a meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, April 9, at the Civic Auditorium (Room #3) use the side door down ramp on Plain Street to enter building). The season begins the week of April 30.
Fall Adult Coed Softball
Our Adult Coed Softball program provides co-ed leagues for all skill levels. Our program offers league play on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, with games played at Scharf and Lions fields. Teams play 14-game schedules plus a single elimination tournament.
Team managers from the 2016 season will receive registration information mid-July 2017. Deadline for entry will be Thursday, August 17. New teams may pick up the needed forms and information beginning Monday, July 17. All team managers are required to attend a meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 23, at the Park and Recreation Department's Ken Moryl Conference Room, 250 Pine Lake Avenue. The season begins Tuesday, September 5.
Our Adult Basketball program, also known as the Municipal Basketball League, runs from November through March, with a 12-game regular season followed by division tournament. We offer a Sunday competitive league and a Tuesday competitive league. Games are played at the Civic Auditorium, with some Sunday games played at the La Porte High School field house. A half season (6 games) for Wednesday Slow Break and Wednesday Women's league will be offered beginning in January 24, 2018. The deadline to enter into the slow-break and women's leagues is Friday, January 5, at 4 p.m. Games are played at the Civic Auditorium. A mandatory manager's meeting for the slow-break and women's league teams is scheduled for Wednesday, January 17, at 7 p.m. at the Park and Recreation Department's office.
