Policy on Service

TransPorte is a curb-to-curb service.  All passengers must be capable of independent travel. If not, passengers are required to be accompanied by a Personal Assistant or other attendant capable of assisting the passenger, including safely operate a passenger’s mobility device, if necessary.  The driver is not a medical attendant and must remain in line of sight of vehicle at all times. The driver cannot enter a building to pick up a passenger or deliver a passenger.
Disability discounts are offered for those in wheelchairs, or for those who require a personal assistant in order to be able to safely ride in the vehicle. TransPorte does not provide these personal assistants, but will allow them to ride for free.
TransPorte is public transportation, and not a medical service provider. If a person is not capable of independent travel and requires but does not have a personal assistant, transportation cannot be provided.

All TransPorte vehicles are wheelchair accessible. Alternate / accessible formats are available upon request at the TransPorte Office.
